Situated only one hour away from Pretoria in the roling hills of Dinokeng is a small piece of paradise. On this three hundred hectare property is a dedicated family that has spent the last 12 years breading and raising lions. The MacRea family offers this unique oppertunity and experience to walk with juvenile lions and later to help feed and interact with lion cubs and other orphan animals that they might have at the time.

The tour Starts at 12:30 with a light lunch that is served. After your lunch you will gather at the sub adult and juvinile camps where your guide will then explain about the breeding program. A short safety talk and you are off on your lion walk. This is a great oppertunity to observe the behavoir and instincts of these yung lions. Have your camera ready for some great photo's.

On your return from your lion walk, the yung lion cubs are brought out and you could have the chance to help feed them. Once fed, these cubs start playing and climbing all over you. If there is any other orphan animals in the care of the MacRea family, this is when you will meet them.

Next is the snakes, a demostration and a opertunity to touch and hold these misunderstood creatures. Lastly but not in the least, you get to see the breeding adult lions.
